Mary (Morrison) Cassingham Obituary

Mrs. Mary Cassingham died at her home in Durham Township, Wed. morning, July 3rd, at 1 o'clock.- Funeral at the residence July 4th at 10 o'clock. Rev. Strong officiating with burial in the LaHarpe Cemetery. Her maiden name was Mary Morrison. She was born Sept. 15 in Virginia. She married Thomas Cassingham in 1830.They came to this state in 1854 and settled on the farm where she died. She was a member of the Methodist church. She was in feeble health for years but her death was sudden and quick. Her husband died in Nov. 1887 from having a limb broken by the kick of a horse. She leaves 2 sons and 4 daughters, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her twin sister, Mrs. Margaret Cassingham still lives. Her brother-in-law Richard Cassingham died July 4 and was buried in LaHarpe Cemetery. He was Mrs. A. Tarman's father.
