Neva Lavon Clabaugh is the daughter of David Anthony Clabaugh and Lena Mae Amrine. She was born 1 April 1901 in Knierim, Calhoun, Iowa. She died in March 1987 at the age of 85 in Plattsmouth, Cass, Nebraska.

On 9 November 1926, she married Edward Gorman Gannon. He was born 4 October 1898 in Duluth, St. Louis, Minnesota and died 15 September 1950 at age 51.
