On 3 Mar 1889, he married Sarina Rebecca Link in La Harpe, Hancock, Illinois. Rina, Rena or Rebecca, as she was at times known, was born 5 May 1865 in La Harpe, Hancock, Illinois. She is the daughter of John Link and Sarah Elizabeth Reed. She died 5 Jun 1956 at the age of 91 in Payette, Payette, Idaho. She was buried 8 Jun 1956 at Riverside Cemetery, Payette, Payette, Idaho.
