George Raymond Vermilyer is the son of George Edward Vermilyer and Hilda Knecht. He was born 22 Apr 1909 in Batavia, Kane, Illinois. He died 19 Jul 1975 at about age 66 in Marina, Monterey, California. He is buried at El Carmelo Cemetery (#9 Lot C-12 Block 3W), Pacific Grove, Monterey, California.
On 2 Feb 1943, he married Lila May McElwee in Waukegan, Lake, Illinois. She is the daughter of Leonard McElwee and May Harkless. She was born 5 Jan 1923 Streator, LaSalle, Illinois. She died 17 Oct 1978 at age 55 in Monterey County, California. She is buried at Mission Memorial Park, Seaside, Monterey, California.
