Ida Edith Cassingham was born 7 May 1857 in Elgin, Kane, Illinois. She is the daughter of William Burdette Cassingham and Elizabeth Cummings. She died 27 Aug 1887 at age 30 in Rockford, Winnebago, Illinois and was buried there on 28 Aug 1887.

• On 7 Sep 1873, she married (1) William L. Wright (from whom she was later divorced) in Council Grove, Morris, Kansas. He was born about 1848.
• Then, on 18 Apr 1881, she married (2) David John Collins in Rockford, Winnebago, Illinois. He was born in May 1848 in Plattsburgh, Clinton, New York. He is the son of David Collins and Caroline Strong. He died 13 Aug 1894 at the age of 46 in Elgin, Kane, Illinois and is buried in the Bluff City Cemetery.

2. John David Collins was born 23 Sep 1884 in Rockford, Winnebago, Illinois. He married Margaret.
3. (baby girl) Collins was born 16 Mar 1887 in Rockford, Winnebago, Illinois. She died six days later, before she had even been given a name, on 24 Mar 1887 in Rockford, Winnebago, Illinois.

Notes

Ida Cassingham: Ida's death certificate lists her age at death as 26 years 3 months 20 days. This would compute back to 7 May 1861. Unfotunately, this date can not be correct since Ida is already listed in the 1860 census (Greenfield, Grundy, IL. p. 46) as 2 years old (meaning she would have been born in 1857-1858). Her marriage license to David says she would be 22 on her next birthday (which would compute to a birth of 1859-1860). I am assuming the death certificate computation of 7 May is correct -- only the year is wrong.
