Charles Wesley Cassingham was born 26 Mar 1863/1864 in Durham, Hancock, Illinois. Wesley, as he was sometimes called, is the son of Alexander Cassingham and Frances A. Wheeler. He died 20 Apr 1959 at about age 95. He is buried in the La Harpe Cemetery, La Harpe, Hancock, Illinois.

On 2 Feb 1888, he married Durinda C. Atwater in Illinois. Rindy, as she was known, is the daughter of John J. Atwater and Mary Dunn. She was born 31 Jan 1869 in Illinois. She died 12 Mar 1931 at age 62. She is buried in the La Harpe Cemetery, La Harpe, Hancock, Illinois.

1. Ray Cassingham was born 8 Nov 1889 in Durham, Hancock, Illinois. On 23 Dec 1911, he married Cressie Huff. Cressie was born 28 Mar 1894. Ray died 19 Sep 1912 at the age of 22. He is buried in La Harpe Cemetery, La Harpe, Hancock, Illinois.
2. Clarence Cassingham was born 25 Nov 1891 in Durham, Hancock, Illinois.

Notes

Durinda: Usually called Rindy, some sources list her name as Mirinda. But the 1880 Census [Durham, Hancock, IL. p. 98] clearly states: Durinda Atwaters (note the "s" on the last name).
The 1900 Census [Durham, Hancock, IL. p. 8] lists her birth as Feb 1875 (which would make her 13 when married), but the 1880 Census [Durham, Hancock, IL. p. 98] clearly states that she is 11 years old (1868/1869). Similarly, the 1910 Census (Durham, Hancock, IL. p. 8) would indicate 1867/1868.
