Mary A. Williams, 88, of Concord Place died at 11:20 p.m. Wednesday at Coshocton County Memorial Hospital following a short illness.

Born Oct.16, 1894, in Coshocton, she was a daughter of the late Frederick and Anna Magness Abbott.

She was employed at the North Appalachian Experimental Watershed Agricultural Research Station for 20 years and retired in 1957. She was a 1912 graduate of Coshocton High School and a member of the Presbyterian Church.

On Oct. 4, 1917, she married Joseph M. Williams. He survives.

Also surviving are two sons, David G. of Coshocton and Joseph A. of Reynoldsburg; a daughter, Mrs. Jack (Mary) Smith of Coshocton; two brothers, Fred and Jack Abbott of Coshocton; a sister, Mrs. Ray (Helen) Latham of Coshocton; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three sisters.

Funeral service is 11 a.m. Saturday at the Given-Dawson Coshocton Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Robert Millspaugh officiating. Burial will follow in South Lawn Cemetery.

Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Friday and until time of service Saturday at the funeral home.
