In 1827 his parents moved to Fairfield Co., Ohio. He married Susan Shriner on 16 May 1822 and she had 11 children. They moved to Whitley County, Ind. in 1837. Susan died in 1841. His second wife was Mrs. Lydia Witham whom he married on 22 Oct. 1842. Eight children were born of this marriage. He was brought up in the Lutheran faith. In his 82nd year was stricken with paralysis. Burial was in the Egolf Cem. |
