Nelson Seymore Clabaugh is the son of Elizabeth Fanny Hastings and David Anthony Clabaugh. He was born 8 January 1852 in Ohio and died 4 September 1919 at age 67 in Kansas.

In about 1873, he married Nancy Catherine Iseman in Morris County, Kansas. She was born 28 March 1854/1856 in Illinois and died 11 March 1930 at age 75.

8. Charles S. Clabaugh was born 15 July 1887 in Kansas. He married Daisy. She was born about 1883 in Kansas. Charles died in August 1981 at age 94 in Chanute, Neosho, Kansas.
9. Viola Leona Clabaugh was born in April 1897 in Neosho, Morris, Kansas. She married Claude Herbert Clymer. He is the son of Albert Jefferson Clymer and Elizabeth Nancy Ramsey. He was born 7 November 1887 in Kelso, Morris, Kansas. Claude and Viola had 2 sons and 3 daughters. Claude died in July 1980 at age 92 in Council Grove, Morris, Kansas. Viola died in May 1981 at age 84 in Council Grove, Morris, Kansas.
