Helen May Winterowd is the daughter of Thirza May Swaim and Ira James Winterowd. She was born 24 July 1914 in Hill City, Graham, Kansas. She died 13 October 1988 at age 74 in Longmont, Boulder, Colorado.

On 2 November 1935, she married Steve A. Mauck. He is the son of Joseph Mauck. He was born 12 November 1915 in Graham County, Kansas. He died in 1989 at age 73 in Longmont, Boulder, Colorado.
