Harold Prather Harold C. Prather, 81, of Independence Village for the past three years, died at 3:30 a.m. Saturday, July 10, 1993, at Saint Francis Medical Center. Born May 14, 1912, in Blandinsville to Clifton K. and Lora Cassingham Prather, he married Emma Pauline Shook on June 11, 1949, in Washington, Ill. She survives. Also surviving are one son, Robert K. of Hopedale; and two grandchildren. He worked for Hiram Walker & Sons for 41 years, retiring as chief accountant in 1975. He was a World War II Army veteran. He graduated from Bradley University in 1934. He served on the education committee for the Peoria Chamber of Commerce. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Wilton Mortuary. The Rev. Jeffrey C. Carter will officiate. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. at the mortuary. Burial will be in Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria. |
