Ray Jefferson Frazer, 39, of rural Gardner, died Tuesday morning in Michael Reese Hospital, Chicago, following a brief illness. The body is at the Davis Funeral Home where friends may call after 2 p.m. Thursday. Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 2:30 p.m. in the Davis chapel. The Rev. Charles DeLay will officiate and burial will be in Braceville-Gardner cemetery. Memorial gifts may be made to the Cancer fund. Mr. Frazer was born in Dwight, May 23, 1918, a son of Alberg [sic] G. and Veda Sutton Frazer. His boyhood was spent in the Mazon area where he was graduated from high school in 1936. On Oct. 30, 1943 he married Anabelle Jackman of Gardner. He spent his life farming, the past 14 years near Gardner. Surviving are his wife; his parents; two sisters, Mrs Russell (Nelda) Mulhall, Gardner, and Mrs. Jesse (Reitta) Bates, Bradley; and eight nieces and nephews.
