Mrs. Ray (Ida) Sutton, 82, formerly of Coal City, died Friday morning in the home of a son, Robert, in Orlando, Fla. Born Sept. 5, 1900, in Plattville, she was a daughter of the late William A. and Margaret (Fox) Southcombe. She was educated in rural Morris schools and Morris High School. On June 3, 1920, she married Ray Sutton in Morris. For many years they lived in Mazon where he was a rural mail carrier. Upon his retirement they moved to Coal City. She was a member of the Methodist Church in Orlando, Kellogg Chapter OES of Gardner and Royal Neighbors of America in Mazon. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Lee (Mary) Provance of Morris and Miss Jennie Sutton of Houston, Texas; two sons, William of Fontana, Calif. and Robert of Orlando, Fla.; 15 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one son, Edwin; three brothers and a sister. Funeral services were held this morning at the Davis Funeral Home with Rev.
