On 20 Feb 1925, he married Fern Edna Shepard in Iola, Allen, Kansas. She was born 7 Aug 1909 in Iola, Allen, Kansas. She is the daughter of Jacob Elonza Lona Shepard and Hazel Edna Winters. She died 3 Nov 1967 at the age of 58 in Winslow, Navajo, Arizona and was buried there on 5 Nov 1967.
