He died 9 Nov 1927 at the age of 83 in Fennimore, Grant, Wisconsin and is buried at Prairie Cemetery, Mount Ida, Grant, Wisconsin. On 18 Sep 1866, he married Lydia Winter in Fennimore, Grant, Wisconsin. She was born 6 Jan 1848 in Ladoga, Montgomery, Indiana. She is the daughter of Joseph Benjamin Levi Winter and Magdalene Stoner. NotesThomas C.: Stuart Voeck, a great-great-grandson, gives us the following (by way of his grandmother, Alma): Thomas fought in the Civil War, entering service 3 Sep 1864, with Company F, 3rd Wisconsin Veteran Infantry from Prairie du Chien. He was mustered out 9 Jun 1865. A banker paid Thomas $500 to serve in place of the banker's son. The money was kept in the bank earning interest while he served.
