He died 21 Oct 1929 at age 69 in Colton, San Bernardino, California and is buried at Inglewood Park Cemetery, Inglewood, Los Angeles, California.

On 19 Mar 1883, he married Ella May Cassingham in Council Grove, Morris, Kansas. She is the daughter of William Burdette Cassingham and Elizabeth Cummings. She was born 17 Feb 1867 in Elgin, Kane, Illinois. Will and Ella divorced 7 Oct 1908. Ella died 1 Oct 1926 at age 59 in Redondo Beach, Los Angeles, California and was buried 4 Oct 1926 at Inglewood Park Cemetery, Inglewood, Los Angeles, California.
