CHARLES D. KAIN

Charles D. Kain, 80, of 22 E. Fifth St., Dresden, died about 4 a.m. Thursday at his home following a short illness.

A retired employee of the old Martin's Dairy at Dresden, Mr. Kain was born March 4, 1898 at Vanlue, Ohio, the son of the late Charles D. Kain and Eldora Kain Gano.

He was a member and a past Elder of the First Presbyterian Church of Dresden, a 60-year member of Knights of Pythias Lodge 305 at Newark and a member of Dresden Grange.

Surviving are his wife, the former Laura J. Moore; two daughters, Mrs. James (Dorothy) Lynn of Dresden Route 1 and Mrs. George (Eleanor) Katsampes of 3975 Mayhew Drive; three sons, Russell of Newark, Charles Fred of the home and Walter C. of Shreve, Ohio; one sister, Mrs. Flora Jones of Fairborn; one brother, Edward of Phoenix, Ariz.; 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Friends may call 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at Baughman and Sons Funeral Home at Dresden where the funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday with Rev. Ralph O. Barnes officiating.

Burial will be in Dresden Cemetery.

Knights of Pythias will hold services at 7:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.
