CHARLES F. KAIN, 67

DRESDEN--Charles F. "Fred" Kain, 67, Dresden, died at 6:35 p.m. Thursday, April 18, 1996, at Bethesda Hospital.

Mr. Kain was born June 10, 1928, in Dresden. He was an avid fisherman, hunter, and cook and had done electrical and plumbing work in the Dresden area for many years. He was retired from Kaiser Aluminum in Newark and an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was a life member of the VFW Post 11072 of Dresden, a member of American Legion Post 399 in Dresden, Fishing Club of America and life member of NRA. He was also a member of United Steelworkers, Bass Anglers Sportsman's Society, the Dresden Village Association, the Coshocton Gun Club and the Knights of Phythias in Newark.

Surviving are two brothers, twin Russell Kain of Wadsworth and Walter Kain of Shreve; two sisters, Dorothy Lynn of Dresden, and Eleanor Katsampes of Zanesville; several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Kain was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Laura Moore Kain.

Calling hours will be 6 to 9 p.m. today at Baughman-Vensil-Orr Furneral Home, 714 Main St.,Dresden.

Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday April 21, 1996, at the funeral home with the Rev. Mark Thomas officating. Burial will be in Dresden Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the VFW Post 11072 in Dresden or the American Legion Post 399 in Dresden. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
