Joseph Williams

Joseph Williams, 99, of 840 Concord Place, died Monday, Dec. 28, 1992, at the Coshocton County Memorial Hospital, Extended Care Facility.

Born Jan. 17, 1893, in Coshocton, he was a son of the late David G. and Emma (Cox) Williams.

A 1911 graduate of Coshocton High School, he retired in 1958 from the James B. Clow Corporation.

He was a Navy veteran of World War I; an 84-year member of the Presbyterian Church in Coshocton; and a member of the Coshocton American Legion.

On Oct. 4, 1917, he married Mary Abbott, who preceded him in death on March 23, 1983.

Survivors include a son, Joseph A. Williams of Reynoldsburg; a daughter, Mrs. Jack (Mary) Smith of Coshocton; nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

A son, David G. Williams, a brother and a sister are deceased.

Graveside services are 1 p.m., Thursday at South Lawn Cemetery, with the Rev. Curtis Baxter officiating.

Friends may call from 11a.m. until noon, Thursday at the Given-Dawson Funeral Home in Coshocton.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Abiding Memorial Fund of the Presbyterian Church.
