Elsie Elvira (Sutton) Henderson Obituary

Mrs. John R. (Elsie E.) Henderson, 87, Mazon, died Saturday evening at the Morris Lincoln Nursing Home.

Born June 1, 1893 in Grundy County, she was a daughter of John and Eva (Foster) Sutton. She was educated in Mazon schools.

On Jan. 19, 1916, she married John R. Henderson in Mazon. She was a member of the Park Street Congregational Church in Mazon.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Edward (Louise) Esgar and Mrs. Ervin (Mildred) Miller; a daughter-in-law, Mrs. James (Virginia) Henderson, all of Mazon; eight grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 1963, a son James in 1975; three brothers, Lester, Ray and Henry and two sisters, Mrs Guy (Veda) Frazier and Mrs. Burdett (Isa) Ransley.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Davis Funeral Home with Rev. Philip Stahl officiating. Burial will be in Mazon Cemetery.

Visitation is 6:30- to 9 p.m. today.

Preferred memorials are to the Park Street Congregational Church, Morris Lincoln Nursing Home or the cancer fund.

Organist will be Mrs. Donald Robinson.

Pallbearers are Richard Esgar, James Miller, Robert and Donald Henderson, Dale Bukes and Victor Hemmerbach.
