CARTHAGE -- Services for Steven P. Butler, 45, a resident of Carthage for the past several years, who was pronounced dead Monday, Aug. 31, 1998, in Colchester, will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Banks & Beals Funeral Home in LaHarpe. The Rev. Greg Ketcham will officiate.

Friends may call after 2 p.m. today at the funeral home with the family present from 7 to 8 p.m. Burial will be in LaHarpe Cemetery.

He was born April 29, 1953, in LaHarpe to George B. and Mary Jeanne Foy Butler.

Surviving are his mother of LaHarpe; one brother, Michael of rural Dallas City; two sisters, Mrs. Richard (Kristine) Pilkington of Carthage and Mrs. Ron (Jeanne) Westby of Keokuk; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father.

He was employed by Crop Production Services in Ferris.

Memorials may be made to the LaHarpe Educational Foundation Scholarship Fund for graduates of LaHarpe High School.
