On 23 Nov 1927, he married Jessie Jo Kinman in La Harpe, Hancock, Illinois. She is the daughter of Nicholas B. Kinman and Minnie May Newman. She was born 3 Mar 1905 in Mt. Sterling, Brown, Illinois and died 19 Jul 1995 at age 90 in Porter, Cass, Michigan.
