Sarah Jane Cassingham was born 22 Aug 1831 in Ohio. She is the daughter of Richard Cassingham and Margaret Morrison. She died 14 Feb 1894 at the age of 62 in La Harpe, Hancock, Illinois and is buried in La Harpe Cemetery.

On 3 May 1857, she married Joshua McGee in Hancock County, Illinois. He is the son of James McGee and Hohor Dorsey. He was born 20 Jul 1831. He died 13 Dec 1876 at age 45 and is buried at La Harpe Cemetery, La Harpe, Hancock, Illinois.

1. Oskar McGee was born about 1857/1858 in Illinois.
2. Edgar McGee was born about 1863/1864 in Illinois.
3. Samuel McGee was born about 1865/1866 in Illinois.
4. Lula McGee was born 15 Sep 1867. She died 3 Nov 1870 at age 3 and is buried in La Harpe Cemetery, La Harpe, Hancock, Illinois.
5. Cora McGee was born about 1871/1872 in Illinois.

Notes

The Illinois Statewide Marriage Index, 1763 - 1900 lists two marriages for a Cora McGee. Neither of them may apply to our Cora, or one or both may apply. The first was the marriage of a Corah E. McGee to Isaac B. Price on 5 Dec 1886 in Shelby County. The second was the marriage of Cora E. McGee to Joseph Blackburn on 27 Mar 1898 in Jackson County. Does anyone have more information on these marriages?
