Robert Edward Kain is the son of Edward Thomas Kain and Eula Belle Devine. He was born 11 Oct 1918 in Dresden, Muskingum, Ohio. He died 6 Feb 1993 at age 74 in Sebring, Highlands, Florida while on winter vacation. He was buried 10 Feb 1993 at Plainfield Methodist Cemetery, Plainfield, Coshocton, Ohio.

On 2 May 1942, he married Lorena Irene Derr in Zanesville, Muskingum, Ohio. She is the daughter of Archibald Derr and Forrest Warden. She was born 19 Sep 1922 in Plainfield, Coshocton, Ohio.
