Edward: According to the Official Roster of Ohio Soldiers, Sailors and Marines, Volume 9, 1917-1918: Edward served in the National Army LB 2, Zanesville, Ohio, entering service on 27 Apr 1918. He reported that he was born in Vanlue, Ohio and was 23 4/12 years old. He served with the 158th Depot Brigade until 9 May 1918. Then with Company B 308 Ammunition Train until his discharge on 14 May 1919. He was a Private 1st class until 27 Apr 1919.
