Elden Edward Herrell is the son of Ida Maybell Cassingham and Rue Herrell. He was born 7 Feb 1907 in Miami, Miami, Indiana. He was a member of Grace Brethren Church. He died 25 Nov 1989 at age 82 in Peru, Miami, Indiana and was buried 28 Nov 1989 at Mount Hope Cemetery, Peru, Miami, Indiana.

On 17 Apr 1932, he married Edna Dock in Peru, Miami, Indiana. She is the daughter of Arthur Dock and Myrtle Schultz. She was born 6 or 16 Sep 1917 in Denver, Miami, Indiana. She died 12 Sep 1992 - either just after or just before her 75th birthday - in Peru, Miami, Indiana. She was buried 16 Sep 1992 at Mount Hope Cemetery, Peru, Miami, Indiana.
