• On 10 May 1941, he married (1) Cecille Mabel Owens in Kansas City, Jackson, Missouri. She is the daughter of Calvin Lysle Owens and Emma Schwartzrock. Cecille was born 17 Jul 1911 in Parsons, Labette, Kansas. Cecille had previously been married to Max Walker. She had also married Douglas S. Foster. Cecille and Chester later divorced.
• On 23 Dec 1971, Chester married (2) Lina Florence McDarment in Covington, Campbell, Kentucky. She is the daughter of Thomas Calvert McDarment and Birdie Ella Glass. Lina was born 3 Sep 1918 in Beechwood, Jefferson, Kentucky and died 25 Feb 1987 in Hamilton County, Ohio. Lina had previously been married to a Mr. Wallace.

1. Nathan Lysle (Walker) Cassingham was born in 1929. In 1955, he married Lita Fisher in Missouri. She was born in 1929 in Missouri. They had no children.

Lina: The spelling of Lina's last name is not clear. It is hard to make out the exact spelling in the letter Chester sent me in 1973, but it looks like McDarment. Other sources list it as McDermot.
