On 6 Aug 1879, he married Elizabeth Robinson Kelley in Council Grove, Morris, Kansas. Elizabeth was born 1 Aug 1859 in Lees Summit, Jackson, Missouri. She is the daughter of Richard Owings Kelley and Frances de Honey. Elizabeth died 18 Jun 1918 at age 58 in Grigsby, Scott, Kansas.

She died 30 Sep 1971 at age 79 in Salinas, Monterey, California. Tom died 14 Feb 1960 in Copan, Washington, Oklahoma and is buried in the Dewey Cemetery, Dewey, Washington, Oklahoma. He had no children of his own.
4. Nina Estil Cassingham was born 3 Aug 1888 in Council Grove, Morris, Kansas.
5. William Owen Cassingham was born 20 Mar 1892 in Council Grove, Morris, Kansas.
