Carl Wilmont Snell is the son of Bessie Blanche Finn and Gordon Willmont A. G. Snell. He was born 18 Apr 1915 in Lexington, Lafayette, Missouri. He died 3 Dec 1998 at the age of 83 in Overland Park, Johnson, Kansas. He was buried 7 Dec 1998 at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.

On 1 Sep 1936, he married Rose Marie Duxbury. She is the daughter of Charles W. Duxbury and Delilah O. Hill. She was born on Valentine's day, 14 Feb 1920 in Kansas City, Wyandotte, Kansas.
