Alexander Cassingham was born 4 Apr 1837 in Muskingum County, Ohio. He is the son of Thomas Cassingham (Jr.) and Mary E. Morrison. He died 16 Sep 1906 at the age of 69 in La Harpe, Hancock, Illinois and is buried there.

On 21 Feb 1861, Alexander married Frances A. Wheeler in Carthage, Hancock, Illinois. She was born 25 Jan 1838 in Muskingum County, Ohio. Frances is the daughter of Wesley D. Wheeler and Mary A. (unknown). She died 6 Feb 1909 at the age of 71 in La Harpe, Hancock, Illinois.

4. Irving Thomas Cassingham was born 22 Aug 1867 in Durham, Hancock, Illinois. On 28 Mar 1894, he married Mary Jane Sharpe in Knox County, Illinois. She is the daughter of William Sharpe and Mary. Mary Jane was born in 1870. She died in 1919 at age 49. Irving died about 1931 at age 64. They are both buried in La Harpe Cemetery, La  Harpe, Hancock, Illinois.
5. Nancy Estella Cassingham as born 15 Aug 1872 in Durham, Hancock, Illinois.
