On 27 Sep 1913, he married Rhoda J. Scott in Peru, Miami, Indiana. She was born 20 Aug 1896/1897 in Valley Mills, Marion, Indiana. She lost her parents when she was quite young and was raised by Bill and Julie Eshelman. She died 5 Dec 1957 at age 61 in Kokomo, Howard, Indiana. She is buried in Galveston, Cass, Indiana.
