He died 24 Dec 1967 at age 76 in Smithfield, Huntingdon, Pennsylvania and was buried 30 Dec 1967 at the Riverview Cemetery, Huntingdon, Huntingdon, Pennsylvania.

• He married (1) Lillie Messimer. They later divorced; she apparently never remarried. Lillie was born 2 Jul 1890 in Jersey Shore, Lycoming, Pennsylvania and died in Mar 1977 at an age of about 86 in Elmhurst, du Page, Illinois.
